Camp is for you.

Scholarships, Discounts, Costs...

To send a camper to Unirondack for a week in the summer is $850, which we know is a lot of money for many families. Unirondack is committed to making sure camp is available for all campers and there are several ways to offset the cost of camp for families who need it. If cost of camp is inhibitive to you, please reach out. We are more than happy to create payment plans or have conversations around making camp more affordable. Below are some additional ways to lower the cost of Unirondack.

Camperships

We have a robust scholarship program and strongly recommend campers and families who are having trouble covering the cost of camp apply. The application takes only a few minutes to complete and is then reviewed by a team of board members. Awards are typically announced by April 15.

DEADLINE: The soft campership deadline is March 15th. Campership applications will be accepted after this date and will be awarded on a rolling basis!

REGISTERING: If you are applying for a campership and need to register without paying the deposit, use the discount code 2025CAMPERSHIPS to complete your registration while your campership application is being processed.

If you refer a camper to Unirondack who has not previously attended a Unirondack session, you'll receive $100 off your registration! Referred families also get a 10% discount on their registration. To refer a friend, simply note on your registration who you referred. When they register for camp we will apply the discount to your registration through your account. You'll also receive a limited edition Unirondack T-shirt exclusive for those who refer a friend to camp.

UUACCC

Unirondack is a member organization of an alliance of other UU camps and conference centers. If you attend a conference, summer session, or comparable sized event at any of the following organizations, send us your receipt and you'll receive 10% off one camper registration. (Ferry Beach, Star Island, Rowe Camp, Murray Grove, Shelter Neck, The Mountain Retreat Center, Unicamp, UBarU Camp & Conference Center, DeBeneville Pines.)

Native or Indigenous Campers

Camp Unirondack is committed to anti-colonial justice. That is why Unirondack is free for Indigenous campers.

We recognize that the Haudenosaunee land that we occupy does not belong to us. We recognize that, while it may not be possible to fully reconcile that fact, there are many things that we can do right now to address the harms of ongoing colonial violence in our communities.

During our time as occupants here, we strive to be good stewards and caretakers of the land so that it may be in good health for future generations. We use our platform as educators to teach our campers and staff about the painful realities of colonial history in North America, and the ongoing struggles of Indigenous peoples today. We hope to inspire a generation of youth who will fight back against colonial injustice in their communities.

We believe that decolonization is not about reconciling our differences – it is about returning what is not rightfully ours, and we believe that it is every Indigenous person’s right to have access to their ancestral lands. That is why Unirondack welcomes all self-identifying Indigenous youth and adults to use this space and attend our programs without paying any fees. Proof of tribal affiliation is not required to qualify for this discount.

This policy is one small step toward the repatriation of Indigenous lands, and we hope that many more will follow in the years to come. What Unirondack has to offer would not be possible without the stolen land we occupy, and we feel it would be against our values to charge Indigenous people to be here. We also challenge other organizations and facilities whose product or offerings are as connected to land use as summer camp's are to consider something similar in your work.

While we plan to increase these offerings in the future, we are currently able to offer this to cover 2 youth registrations per session for a total of 16 summer weeks at a first-come, first-serve basis. There is not currently a limit on Spring/Fall programs for adults and families. For more information on how to register your camper through this offer, email [email protected].

Work Exchange

On occasion we do exchange volunteer work for a discount in camper registration. The skills you bring do not need to be physical work or on camp and can be remote or consultation work as well. Previous work exchange offerings have included helping out in the kitchen or on crew, training for staff, graphic design, and website help. If work exchange is something you are interested in, please email us at [email protected].
