Here’s How Our Tiered Pricing Works
Unirondack maintains an ongoing commitment to economic accessibility. One of the ways we do this is by using a sliding-scale price model for all of our summer programs. This allows families to choose from several different price tiers based on their economic position.
For our summer youth sessions, the price tiers are as follows:
Tier 1 - $900 - This price is approximately 75% of the actual break-even cost for one camper for one week, including food, materials, utilities, and fair pay for our staff.
Tier 2 - $1,050 - This price is approximately 87.5% of the actual break-even cost for one camper for one week, including food, materials, utilities, and fair pay for our staff.
Tier 3 - $1,200 - This price is the approximate break-even cost for one camper for one week, including food, materials, utilities, and fair pay for our staff.
Tier 4 - $1,400 - This price is the approximate break-even cost for one camper for one week, plus a donation that will go directly toward helping campers who cannot otherwise afford to come to camp.
How Do I Choose the Right Tier?
You can choose whichever tier works best for you - however you may want to use the guide below to help you make your decision.
Consider selecting Tier 4 if some or all of the following statements apply to you:

I do not have significant debt, or I am able to easily make regular payments on my debt
I own a home or my rent is less than I can actually afford
I own or lease a car that is less than 5 years old or is under warranty
I am employed at a job with benefits or I do not need to work to meet my needs
I have reliable access to healthcare
I have savings, retirement funds, and/or investments
I am able to buy everything I need new (even if I choose not to)
I have expendable income I can use for entertainment and/or items that bring me joy
I can afford to travel recreationally once a year or more, if I choose
Consider selecting Tier 3 if some or all of the following statements apply to you:
I may experience some financial strain, but I am always able to meet my basic needs (food, housing, clothing, transportation etc.) and usually have something left over

I have debt and it sometimes prevents me from meeting my needs
I rent a home and it is a financial strain, or I have unstable housing
